Our originsWHERE WE CAME FROM ?

Shuhei Morita, was an independent animation artist named Yamatoworks. In 2006, he was chosen to direct "FREEDOM", a commercial/OVA project. During this work, Morita met Ryusuke Sakamoto, one of the animators and found with him in 2012 the studio YAMATOWORKS. They are both motivated to "create 3DCG-based character animation", start and soul of their collaboration. Their short-movie "POSSESSIONS"(In “SHORT PEACE”) was nominated at the U.S. Academy Award as Best Animated Short film. This masterpiece received recognition both in Japan and abroad.

CraftsmanshipHAND DRAWING IN MIND

The feeling of watching hand drawing animation is a key value of our works. Our 3DCG animation is directly inherited from traditional animation. Each animation is an artisanal work. We are proving our staff’s excellence on each work to afford the vision director and production are aiming for.

The Future We Aim forOUR VISION OF MOVIE

After watching a movie, your vision may be transformed and become wider. Your world is changing. In YAMATOWORKS, we are aiming to create animations that will stay in memory and heart. Our aim is to be the only one able to create movies that heal and move the soul to a wider world.
